Berty is an adventurous commercial and wedding photographer based in the Pacific Northwest.

After falling in love with photography during his senior year at the University of Washington, he pursued his love for photography by documenting his friends’ weddings and numerous small commercial projects throughout the city of Seattle.

Through countless hours of watching Youtube tutorials on photography, he outgrew the side-hustle into a full-time studio in 2015. Among his first big collaborations with major brands included Delta Airlines and Outside Magazine, and from there he was nationally recognized for his work with multiple tourism boards across the Pacific Northwest that same year.

Berty challenges the norm in typical photography perspectives. His unending pursuit of learning and passion for adventure has greatly influenced his work. His portfolio and commission work represents naturally vibrant colors to evoke a nostalgic and adventurous feel to his photographs.

In 2016, Berty launched The Mandagies Adventure Blog with his wife Emily.

Paired with Berty’s adventurous photographs and Emily’s informative writing, they bring a unique and attainable take on the landscape of the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Through this avenue, they consistently partner with tourism boards all over the world to share inspirational ways to get outside. Hundreds of thousands are inspired daily through blog posts, social media, emails, and more.

Berty continues the pursuit to masterfully blend the world of weddings, adventure, and commercial ventures seamlessly by staying true to his art and letting it shine in many different forms.
