The Vision

The goal was to show just how capable one camera-and-lens combination could be.

Over several days in Jackson Hole and Grand Teton National Park, we photographed from both the air and the ground, using the Canon EOS R paired with the RF 28–70mm f/2 to move between sweeping landscapes, intimate details, and changing light without constantly changing gear.

The Tetons were the perfect proving ground: expansive, dramatic, and demanding enough to show the flexibility of a system designed to do more with less.

The Approach

I treated the landscape as the test.

Working from both the air and the ground, I looked for changes in scale, perspective, light, and distance to push the camera and lens through a wide range of situations.

The goal was to let the environment reveal the versatility of the system, moving from sweeping aerial scenes to quieter details without the gear getting in the way of the photograph.
