Where the coast slows down.

The Vision

The idea was simple: find the kind of place that makes you want to stay awhile.

We traveled the Oregon coast looking for the perfect picnic spot. Somewhere shaped by the sound of the waves, the smell of the ocean, and the warmth of the fading light. The goal was to create a sense of coziness in the middle of something expansive: a quiet moment, a local bottle of Portlandia wine, and the coast unfolding around it.

The imagery was designed to feel relaxed, sensory, and unmistakably Oregon.

The Approach

I wanted the photographs to feel discovered and natural.

We followed the coast, watched the light, and let the landscape guide the pace of the shoot. The styling stayed simple so the wine, the setting, and the feeling of the moment could do most of the work.

The result is a story built around contrast: crashing waves and quiet conversation, cool coastal air and warm light, open landscape and intimate ritual.
